CAMPOSANTO (2007)
Camposanto (translated into English means Cemetery) s a project from 2007, a year in which LED bulbs were still very uncommon. It is built entirely with waste materials including burnt incandescent light bulbs, scrap electrical cables and recycled metal coils. It is a tribute to give eternal life to the old Edison light bulbs, whose destiny is extinction, supplanted, first by low consumption fluorescent ones and then by LEDs. In the prototype, LED sources illuminate the tinkling cascade of incandescent dead bodies. The use of LEDs allows for a consumption saving of over 90% compared to Edisons with the same luminous flux.
It is a "work in progress": it can be extended and enriched by the user with other bulbs at the end of their life.
It is a modular project: using multiple coils for the structure, it is possible to build chandeliers with different shapes and sizes. dimensions: variable height, diam 35 cm.
